Job Description
As an Automation Engineer, you are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automated systems on board modern naval vessels. You translate complex process needs into reliable control solutions, working closely with various technical disciplines. You work in a model-based engineering environment and contribute to both the design and realization phases.

Your responsibilities as an Automation Engineer:

• Drafting functional descriptions and technical documentation for automatic ship systems;
• Drafting and maintaining specifications for components and installations;
• Drafting test plans (FAT, HAT, SAT) and performing validations based on regulations and customer requirements;
• Managing suppliers and evaluating their technical input;
• Developing standards and procedures for engineering and commissioning;
• Providing support for quotations and drafting conceptual automation designs;
• Providing technical guidance during the commissioning phase of projects.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in designing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA), preferably in the maritime or industrial sector;
• Experience working on projects within multidisciplinary teams;
• Knowledge of MBSE and working according to the V-model;
• Completed higher professional or university education in Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
• Excellent communication skills in English (and preferably also Dutch);
• Good references and willingness to undergo security screening;
• Only candidates with a permanent EU passport are eligible.

Employment Conditions

• A competitive salary up to €6,500 and 8% holiday allowance;
• 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days for full-time employment;
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;
• PME pension scheme with 60% employer contribution;

• Possibility of hybrid working (max. 2 days per week working from home);
