Job Description
As a Senior Electrician Newbuild Ships, you work in a dedicated team on complete electrical installations for tankers, container ships, and passenger vessels. You will be involved in a wide range of technologies: from nautical equipment to PLC and power installations. You read drawings, connect installations, and ensure that all work is carried out according to schedule and quality standards. In this role, you will work 40 hours per week at one of the shipyards in the area of Rotterdam and/or Drecht Cities.

Your responsibilities as Senior Electrician Newbuild Ships

• Installing and connecting electrical systems on board newly built vessels;
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics;
• Carrying out assembly work on nautical equipment, PLC systems, and power installations;
• Identifying required materials or capacity and coordinating this with the foreman or project manager;
• Supervising and supporting (new) colleagues within the team;
• Ensuring a safe and organized working environment.

Job Requirements

• College-level working and/or thinking ability in electrical engineering;
• Extensive experience in marine electrical systems or maritime installations;
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and in a structured manner;
• Technical insight and problem-solving skills;
• Flexible work attitude and team-oriented mindset;
• Driver’s license B is required.
