Maritime Tactical Project Buyer

Job Description
As a Tactical Project Buyer, you are responsible for contracting all necessary materials, products, and services for shipbuilding projects. You act as a link between project teams, suppliers, and the procurement team, ensuring timely delivery under the right conditions.
Your responsibilities as a Tactical Project Buyer:
- Managing procurement processes for tactical and project-related purchases;
- Drafting and extending contracts, purchase orders, and framework agreements;
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and monitoring their performance;
- Analyzing procurement conditions and price trends within assigned product categories;
- Coordinating request for quotations (RFQs) and selecting suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership;
- Ensuring timely processing of orders and follow-up until delivery;
- Supporting budget management and cost-saving initiatives;
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, ISO standards, and internal guidelines.
Job Requirements
- HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Supply Chain, Technical Business Administration, or similar;
- Several years of experience in tactical or project procurement (preferably in technology or maritime sector);
- Experience with supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement processes;
- Analytical and numerically skilled, with an eye for cost control;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams;
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is a plus;
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
