Job Description
As a Process Engineer, you are responsible for the design and optimisation of complex chemical processes. You work within multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of process installations and technologies.
Your responsibilities as Process Engineer:
- Performing process simulations, equipment sizing, and mass and energy balance calculations;
- Creating PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, and technical documentation;
- Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and control engineers;
- Optimising processes in terms of efficiency, performance, and sustainability;
- Contributing to safety studies (HAZOP, risk analyses, environmental assessments);
- Providing technical support during commissioning and start-up phases;
- Analysing operational data and preparing improvement proposals;
- Supervising test setups and visiting installations, including international travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field;
- A few years of experience in process design for chemical or industrial installations;
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics;
- Experience with simulation software (such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, HTRI);
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset;
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Proactive and independent work attitude with good communication skills;
- Willingness to travel (internationally).
Employment Conditions
- Competitive salary up to €6,800 depending on experience;
- 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days (based on 40 hours);
