Job Description
As a Software Engineer, you will develop control systems for various maritime applications and resolve software malfunctions. You will work on proprietary software modules such as bow thruster and spud pole installations, ship control, and alarm systems, while also applying standard software where appropriate. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from different disciplines and contribute to the expansion and innovation of the software platform.

Your responsibilities as a Software Engineer:

• Developing and programming PLC control systems for custom and standard products;
• Testing, modifying, and approving software and control systems;
• Monitoring progress and independently resolving issues and changes during projects;
• Documenting modifications and transferring project information to project management;
• Supporting service requests and resolving software-related malfunctions;
• Reporting and recording solutions and systems in internal documentation;
• Advising clients on software-related issues.

Job Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial automation;
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C, VBScript, function block diagram, ladder diagram, and SCL;
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems, including Codesys 3.5;
• Knowledge of high-availability network environments and routing protocols;
• Experience managing routers, switches, and firewalls;
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably with networks;
• Flexible, stress-resistant, and willing to travel, including internationally;
• Technical and analytical insight combined with communication skills;
• Good command of Dutch, German, and English.

Employment Conditions

• Salary up to €6,200 gross per month, depending on experience;
