Job Description
As a Project Manager Procurement, you will lead the entire procurement process within complex maritime projects. You will manage a team of project buyers and ensure that procurement decisions align with schedules, quality requirements, budgets, and technical specifications. You are responsible for compliance with procurement policies and initiate process improvements to optimize project execution.
Your responsibilities as a Project Manager Procurement:
- Coordinating the entire procurement process within assigned projects;
- Monitoring contract terms, price variables, and quality requirements;
- Monitoring supplier performance and making timely adjustments if necessary;
- Developing and managing strategic supplier relationships;
- Leading category teams and conducting market analyses and procurement strategies;
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and improving practices in consultation with department management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or business administration (preferably with Nevi 2 or willingness to obtain it);
- At least 7 years of procurement experience, of which 3 to 5 years in a project or managerial role within a technical or maritime context;
- Experience in managing and developing procurement teams;
- Knowledge of contracts, negotiation techniques, and project management principles;
- Proven experience in drafting and managing supplier contracts;
- Good command of Dutch and English;
- EU nationality required due to security regulations; screening is part of the procedure.
Employment Conditions
- Salary up to approximately €8,500 and 8% holiday allowance;
- 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days;
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;
- PME pension scheme with 60% employer contribution;
- Profit sharing depending on company results;
- Flexible working: up to two days a week working from home possible;
